Charles William (or William Charles) Mundell was the youngest son of John Mundell 1824-1897 and Mary Ann Howatson 1842-1886. He was therefore the nephew of Jessie Trotter née Mundell 1828-1922 (picture no 1062 Killearnan Churchyard), Walter Grieve Mundell 1837-1902 (picture no 12427 Urray West) and Barbara McLean née Mundell 1839-1926 (picture no 4232 Kiltearn) and is also related to all the other Mundells on the website. His mother, Mary Ann, was the eldest (and first) of the Howatson sisters who married Mundells – to two brothers, John and Walter Grieve and to their nephew, Walter of Moy (picture no 11878 Urray West).
