Sacred to the memory of/WILLIAM ALEXANDER MACKAY/M.D., F.R.C.S.E. Huelva, Spain/and of Heathmount. A son/of the Rev. JOHN MACKAY, M.A./Lybster, and of WILHELMINA/SUTHERLAND. Born July 10th/1860. Died July 14th 1927.

His second wife LOUISA EMILY/daughter of JOHN CROMMELIN/BROWN L.C.S. and CECILIA HELEN/BANNERMAN, born September/15th 1879, died March 31st 1957/mother of CECILE, URSULA, ALASTAIR and IAN MACKAY.  Married October 18th 1930 to/CHARLES GUTHRIE, W.S., Edinburgh.
