I,ve been trying for a while to find a suitable platform to air this headstone on. I discovered it in a small graveyard in Gourock and it details the Death of Charles Baillie Sutherland ( only 17 ) , who died aboard the steamship " The Comet " , a famous Port Glasgow vessel , when it foundered at Kempock Point in Gourock.
He was the son of George Sackville Sutherland of Rossshire., of whos headstone , I found a picture on your site. I hope it may be of interest.
